Ältestes Merkel Jagdgewehr
Zum 120-jährigen Bestehen suchte Merkel europaweit das älteste eingetragene Jagdgewehr der Marke Merkel. Sieger wurde der Schweizer Ralph Jöhl, der mit seinem Seitenschloss-Drilling aus dem Jahr 1903 das bisher bekannteste, älteste Merkel-Exemplar im Suhler Waffenmuseum (aus dem Jahr 1925) auf einen der hinteren Plätze verwies.
