The safety system of the helix is whole: The safety of the shooter is guaranteed by a solid bolt head with six locking slugs and the closed system.

The Helix is equipped with a hand-cocking system: Only when needed the system is cocked – and as easily, with minimal sound, de-cocked if no shot has been fired.

The direct trigger of the Helix is adjustable from approx. 900 to 1.900 grams, the optional, riffled TAR-GT trigger from 500 to 1.500 grams.

A milled Picatinny rail as mount basis: the cope can be mounted easily and repeatable.

Helix magazines are made from sheet steel and protected against scratching by a polymer layer on the gripping piece. Be it a basic magazine (3-round) or the 5-round variant, it is perfect for driven hunts. Optionally, the aluminium magazine can be engraved in the Merkel factory.
